About the role

The assigned work location will be within the PG&E Service Territory and will be agreed upon by the successful candidate and hiring leader.
PG&E is providing the full salary/pay range for this position.
The actual amount paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, internal equity, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, and geographic location.

Partners with the business and other departments to develop requirements and assemble large, complex data sets that meet functional / non-functional business requirements.
The Technology & Data Strategy (T&DS) is responsible for building, maintaining, enhancing, and analyzing systems and data applications, as well as creating visualization that provides valuable information.
The team's mission is to provide practical and relevant insights from data, that supports strategic and informed decisions.
Collects metadata about jobs/sources including data lineage and transformation logic to create data models and ensure data is accessible to the team.
Works with IT teams, data owners, functional area leads and leadership throughout the development cycle practicing continuous improvement.
The data engineer identifies and solves current gaps in data requirements and creates ease of access to ensure fast and consistent responses to leadership inquiries.

Experience with multiple data engineering/ETL ecosystems.
Proven track record of successfully implementing data warehouses/data lakes over previous five years.
Experience leading development teams.

This position is hybrid, working from your remote office and your assigned work location based on business needs or company requirements.
