  • This Nurse Consultant I provides expertise in infection disease/prevention for Health Services.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for providing technical guidance and expertise to assess and develop tools to meet policy requirements for infection disease/prevention program.

Requirements

  • Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of North Carolina and one year of experience in the area of specialization.
  • The Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)/ Management Preferences are not required.

Compensation

  • $ 62,044 - $102,371
  • Hiring salary will be based on relevant qualifications, internal equity, and budgetary considerations pertinent to the advertised position.

  • Description of Work
  • The Nurse Consultant I provides Infectious Disease and Wound Care Management coverage to prisons as part of Department of Adult Corrections/ Health Services and will be responsible for Avery Mitchell, Black Mountain-ACDP, Foothills, Marion, Mountain View, Rutherford, and Western CCW facilities.
  • Duties include but not limited to:
  • Position requires expertise in wound management, as well as advanced skills in research utilization, program development, and quality improvement.
  • Position requires understanding of long-term care, environmental practices as well as HAI's.
  • Position provides HIV testing, counseling and prevention education in assigned prisons.
