About the role
- The program enhances students' understanding of warfighting, expeditionary operations, Marine Air-Ground Task Force (MAGTF) employment, and operational planning while strengthening critical thinking and decision-making skills.
- Faculty are responsible for facilitating discussions, grading seminar contributions and written assignments, mentoring students, and fostering critical thinking through discussion-based learning.
- This position is contingent upon contract award.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
- Experience serving as a Commanding Officer, Executive Officer, Operations Officer, or Primary Staff Officer at the battalion, squadron, or higher level.
- Successfully complete required Faculty Orientation and ongoing CDET faculty certification requirements.
Nice to have
- Operational planning experience within Marine Corps or Joint organizations.
- Experience mentoring military officers or adult learners.
- Security Requirements
- U.S. Citizenship required.
- Active Secret clearance (Tier 3 Investigation) required.
- Instruction is generally conducted outside normal duty hours.
- Faculty assignments vary based on regional enrollment and seminar demand.
- Courses may be delivered in resident, synchronous online, or asynchronous online formats.
Compensation
- Participate in annual faculty development activities as directed by the Regional Director.
