About the role
- #W2 Role Title: Sr. Full stack Developer- Big Data Focused
- • Location: Rockville, Maryland or McLean, VA (Hybrid)
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, implement, and support full-stack solutions using modern technologies
- Contribute as a key member of an Agile development team, participating in sprint planning, design reviews, and retrospectives
- Partner with product owners, architects, and leadership to translate business requirements into well-designed technical solutions
- Build and maintain distributed systems leveraging microservices and big data technologies
- Develop cloud-native solutions using AWS services to deliver highly available, scalable, and cost-efficient applications
- Apply serverless and managed cloud services where appropriate to optimize performance and reliability
- Strong experience building applications using JavaScript, Java, RESTful APIs, Angular, and Spring Boot
Requirements
- 4 years of experience working with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, Presto, or similar platforms
- 3 years of experience writing and optimizing complex SQL queries
- 2 years of experience with scripting languages such as Python, Unix shell, Groovy, or similar
- Strong understanding of cloud architecture best practices and AWS Well-Architected principles
