About the role

  • In this position, you will exercise independent judgment in supporting departmental operations, technology initiatives, and special projects, while providing excellent customer service and ensuring effective stewardship of ITS financial resources.

Responsibilities

  • As the Fiscal Specialist 2 in Information Technology Services (ITS ), you will perform a variety of complex fiscal, purchasing, payroll, and budget-related functions in support of a diverse technology organization serving the Washington State University community.

Requirements

  • Two years of experience at a level equivalent to Fiscal Specialist 1 AND 15 quarter hours OR 10 semester hours of college level accounting
  • Strong computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Access, PowerPoint, and information management systems.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to use independent judgment, tact and diplomacy.

Compensation

  • $3,917 to $5,240 (Steps A-M) | Range 43 | Successful candidates are typically hired at the beginning of the salary range and receive scheduled salary increment increases in accordance with WAC 357-28.
  • In accordance with RCW 49.58.110, the above salary reflects the full salary range for this position.
