About the role
- Wells Fargo is seeking a Vice President, Finance Product Controller supporting the CIB Markets Division.
- Review, approve, and oversee P&L adjustments across all P&L types, ensuring accuracy, transparency, appropriate governance, and compliance with regulatory and internal standards, including analysis and monitoring of Volcker metrics
- Review large or complex transactions to ensure appropriate booking, valuation, accounting treatment, and reasonable pricing relative to market standards
Responsibilities
- Deliver high‑quality P&L and balance sheet commentary to senior management, clearly explaining key performance drivers, risks, unusual trends, and emerging issues
- Maintain accurate, well‑documented policies and procedures; continuously evaluate and enhance the control environment to support internal controls, audit readiness, and alignment with industry best practices
- Partner closely with Front Office, Middle Office, Compliance, Front Line Control Officers, Independent Price Validation, Market and Credit Risk, Group Controllers, and offshore Product Control teams (including India) to ensure consistent execution, strong controls, and timely delivery
Requirements
- Experience working with Capital Markets products (Fixed Income Securities, Derivatives, Securities Financing Transactions)
- Strong knowledge of P&L reporting, including P&L attribution, risk, balance sheet controls, and financial governance
- Advanced degree or certification (MBA, CFA, CPA, MS, or equivalent)
- Knowledge of Wells Fargo reporting systems and internal databases (i.e. IRIS, Hyperion Essbase)
- Advanced desktop programming skills (Access/VBA/Excel)
Nice to have
- Familiarity with Wells Fargo Securities systems a plus (Broadridge_GPTM, Calypso)
