About the role
- Security Alarms Technician Company: The Boeing Company The Boeing Company is currently seeking a Security Alarms Technician to join the team in Berkeley, MO.
- With precision and expertise, you will ensure that cutting-edge security alarm systems are installed, maintained, and optimized to protect Boeing's vital assets and facilities.
- Union: This is a union-represented IBEW 1 position.
Responsibilities
- Install, service, maintain, upgrade, and modify electrical and electronic systems
- Utilize technical knowledge, existing procedures or develop new procedures along with internal/external resources to diagnose and correct equipment and/or system malfunctions
- Modify, test, calibrate, and document system configurations to meet compliance requirements
- Diagnose problems and perform service and repairs on electronic security alarm systems, card access systems, and other related building system products at customer sites
- Perform physical labor to include carrying and moving equipment and tools up to 50-70 lbs
Requirements
- 1+ years of experience in support of electrical power systems (electrical system design, electrical system verification, troubleshooting and/or support of anomaly resolution)
- Experience working with safety and quality processes and procedures
- Ability to lift/carry up to 35 pounds
- Willing to work overtime, weekends, and holidays if required
- To meet U.S. export control compliance requirements, a "U.S. Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 is required. "U.S. Person" includes U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
- This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship.
- An interim and/or final U.S. Top Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.
