About the role

  • The Kindergarten-2nd Grade Teacher is responsible for planning and delivering rigorous, standards-based instruction while fostering a positive classroom culture that promotes academic growth, social-emotional development, and a love of learning.
  • Differentiate instruction to meet the academic, behavioral, and social-emotional needs of diverse learners.
  • Participate in professional development, instructional coaching, grade-level collaboration, and school initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Teachers collaborate with instructional leaders and colleagues to ensure all scholars receive high-quality instruction and individualized support.
  • Plan and deliver engaging daily lessons aligned with state standards and network curriculum.
  • Establish and maintain a positive, structured classroom environment that supports student success.
  • Use student data and formative assessments to drive instructional decisions and monitor scholar progress.
  • Build strong relationships with students, families, and colleagues through consistent communication.
  • Implement classroom management practices that promote respect, responsibility, and engagement.
  • Support school-wide events, family engagement opportunities, and other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Candidates must meet one of the following qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field
  • Valid Arizona Teaching Certificate
  • Minimum of three (3) years of successful K-12 teaching experience.
  • Additional Requirements
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a valid Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card.
  • Demonstrated commitment to high academic expectations and student achievement.
  • Strong classroom management, communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with scholars, families, and colleagues.

Nice to have

  • Experience teaching Kindergarten, 1st Grade, or 2nd Grade.
  • Experience using data-driven instructional practices.
  • Ongoing instructional coaching and professional development
