About the role
- The Workday Configuration Lead serves as the functional and technical expert for Workday Compensation and Advanced Compensation.
- This role is responsible for designing, configuring, testing, implementing, and supporting complex compensation solutions that align with business objectives while maintaining system integrity, scalability, and compliance.
- This role partners closely with HR, Total Rewards, Payroll, Talent, Recruiting, Finance, and Technology teams to deliver innovative compensation solutions that improve the associate experience and enable strategic business outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design, configuration, and ongoing optimization of Workday Compensation and Advanced Compensation.
- Configure and maintain:
- Develop calculated fields, condition rules, validations, and custom reports supporting compensation administration.
- Design secure and scalable solutions following Workday best practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Human Resources, Business Administration, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 7+ years of Workday configuration experience.
- 3+ years configuring Advanced Compensation.
- Strong understanding of Workday security, business processes, condition rules, and calculated fields.
- 5+ years configuring Workday Compensation.
- Experience with EIBs and Workday reporting.
- Mentor junior configuration professionals and share technical expertise.
Nice to have
- Workday Pro certification in Compensation or Advanced Compensation.
- Experience supporting organizations with 10,000+ employees.
- Experience working in Agile delivery environments.
