About the role
- The Data Center Facilities Specialist is responsible for the planning, maintenance, and documentation of data center operations and associated mission-critical infrastructure at our Kings Mountain, NC location.
Responsibilities
- Operate and manage critical equipment for routine and emergency services, including HVAC, plumbing, chillers, and fire detection systems
- Monitor and maintain optimal environmental conditions (temperature, humidity, airflow) to protect equipment and ensure continuous uptime
- Manage cable infrastructure and maintain organized cable management practices
- Respond to facility-related alerts and incidents with urgency to minimize service impact and maintain SLA commitments
- Perform routine maintenance on raised floors, hot/cold aisle containment systems, and rack infrastructure
- Maintain accurate documentation of facility assets, maintenance logs, incident reports, and as-built drawings
- Support capacity planning and infrastructure improvement initiatives
- Participate in on-call rotation to provide 24/7 support for critical facility operations
Requirements
- To be considered for this role, it's important that you meet all Required Qualifications.
- 3+ years of experience in data center facilities management or critical infrastructure operations
- Experience with environmental monitoring systems and building management systems (BMS)
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Facilities Management, or related technical field preferred
Nice to have
- Data Center Certified Associate (DCCA) or Certified Data Centre Professional (CDCP) certification
- Experience with colocation or managed service provider data center environments
- Knowledge of DCIM (Data Center Infrastructure Management) tools
- Electrical or HVAC technical certifications
- Experience with incident management and change management processes (ITIL framework)
- Familiarity with physical security systems and access control in data center environments

Compensation
- As of the date of this posting, a good faith estimate of the current pay scale for this role is $44,000 to $63,000 annually based on a full-time schedule.
