About the role
- Spacecraft connect into the Star Catcher Network and receive conditioned energy via their existing solar arrays, requiring no retrofit to utilize the first true space-based infrastructure.
- The Star Catcher Network provides power as needed from tens of Watts to tens of thousands of Watts at concentrations from fractions of a Sun of flux to ten Suns of flux.

Responsibilities
- Applying an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to plan, design, develop and verify a lifecycle balanced system of systems and system solutions.
- Create, Track, Maintain Requirements in state of the art tools.
- Performs various analyses to optimize total system of systems and/or system architecture.
- Lead the resolution of technical issues with other SMEs and product team.
- Support business development efforts for proposals/bids.
- Experience in small teams and building systems engineering teams.
- Help us deploy and scale space infrastructure that will drive our utilization of space forward!

- Star Catcher, located in Jacksonville, FL, has an opportunity for a Senior Systems Engineer to support the development of space-to-space power beaming spacecraft and the Star Catcher Network, its orbital power grid.
Nice to have
- Bachelor's degree in Systems, Aerospace, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering or related field and a minimum of 10 years' experience in a broad background in systems engineering is preferred.
- Experience leading the development of space systems for challenging environments and missions.
- Experience with MBSE (Model Based System Engineering).
- Experience with NASA/DoD lifecycle reviews (e.g. SRR, PDR, CDR).
- Experience with requirement tracking tools.
Skills
- Familiarity with configuration management practices.
- Possesses a broad background in systems engineering.
- Experience using software tools for performing complex analyses (Excel, MatLab, custom tools).
