About the role

  • The Hazardous Waste Personnel works with a team of environmental professionals in Golden, CO.
  • As a federal contractor, CNI is a drug-free workplace and adheres to the Federal Controlled Substance Act.
  • ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Essential duties and responsibilities include the following.

Responsibilities

  • Provides general laboratory support (e.g., glassware preparation) following detailed instructions.
  • Performs filing, data entry, word processing or similar clerical tasks may be assigned.
  • May involve mentoring others and limited oversight of junior laboratory technician's work as well as sufficient versatility to support additional assigned tasks as needed to meet client requirements.
  • A portion of our profits is used to support Chickasaw citizens.

Requirements

  • Attention to detail and excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
  • Must be able to lift and carry 40 pounds.
  • Documented or demonstrated working knowledge of analytical laboratory operations, logistics, hazardous waste management and business-related software such as Microsoft Office.
  • Regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel.
  • Regularly required to reach with hands and arms.
  • May be required to perform handling activities with lightweight or easily moved items (e.g., books, file folders, boxes of office supplies, small machine parts, lab samples etc.).
  • Must be able to perform repetitive motions for brief periods.
  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, and use hands along with fingers, to handle or feel.
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
  • May be required to lift, push or pull 50 pounds or more using cart or hand truck.

Nice to have

  • Experience working within a team environment is preferred.
  • Possession of 40 hour HAZWOPER and RCRA Training preferred.
