Responsibilities
- Perform blood bank testing and laboratory procedures per established protocols
- Maintain accuracy in specimen handling, testing, and documentation
- Operate and maintain laboratory instrumentation and equipment
- Collaborate with physicians and clinical teams regarding transfusion-related services
- Maintain accurate patient and laboratory records
- The Employee will help our organization to identify and bridge the gap that exists in the business by analyzing the data, scale and support digital transformation initiatives.
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of Clinical Laboratory Technologist experience in Blood Bank
- Blood bank experience required
- Strong knowledge of:
- BLS (Basic Life Support) required
- Active New York State Clinical Laboratory Technologist License (092) required
- Primary Source Verification required
Nice to have
- Blood typing and compatibility testing
- Transfusion medicine
- Laboratory quality control procedures
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced laboratory environment
- Associate Degree from an accredited Laboratory Technology program
- Bachelor's Degree preferred
