About the role

  • Join Allstate's Litigation Services team as a Paralegal Specialist, where your contributions will be essential to delivering strong legal outcomes and exceptional service to our clients.
  • This fully remote role offers the opportunity to work closely with experienced attorneys on insurance defense matters, including bodily injury and third-party liability claims.
  • You'll take ownership of key aspects of the litigation process, including drafting pleadings and motions, managing discovery, coordinating with clients and vendors, reviewing medical records, and supporting attorneys through trial preparation.

Responsibilities

  • Manage litigation files from inception through resolution, including trial, arbitration, and mediation preparation.
  • Draft, review, file, and serve pleadings, motions, and other litigation documents for attorney review and approval.
  • Prepare and manage written discoveries, including drafting discovery requests and responses and coordinating document production.
  • Prepare exhibits, case summaries, witness files, and other materials in support of hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trials.
  • Handle electronic filing and service of legal documents in accordance with applicable court rules and procedures.
  • Partner closely with internal stakeholders and business units, strengthening relationships and delivering proactive legal support.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience as a paralegal, preferably in insurance defense, bodily injury, or civil litigation.
  • Strong understanding of legal procedures, including pleadings, discovery, motions, court filings, and trial preparation.
  • Experience managing high-volume caseloads in a fast-paced environment.
  • The candidate(s) offered this position will be required to submit to a background investigation.
  • When working from home, you must have a dedicated, private workspace free from distractions, along with appropriate desk and seating.
  • Reliable internet is required, with minimum speeds of 50 MB download and 5 MB upload.

Nice to have

  • Experience supporting litigation involving bodily injury and/or third-party liability claims preferred.
  • Familiarity with Pennsylvania litigation practices and electronic court filing systems is strongly preferred

Compensation

  • Compensation offered for this role is 28.03 - 42.99 per hour and is based on experience and qualifications.
  • This policy applies to all aspects of the employment relationship, including, but not limited to, hiring, training, salary administration, promotion, job assignment, benefits, discipline, and separation of employment.
