Responsibilities

  • For example, actively managing a partner's email inbox, coordinating and tracking deadlines and deliverables, and strategic business travel planning.
  • Collaborating closely with assigned partner to effectively manage and "quarterback" the day-to-day coordination of the partner's practice.
  • Liaising regularly with other firm departments (Marketing, Finance, Conflicts, etc.) to ensure the smooth operation of the partner's business.
  • Managing a broad range of complex administrative duties, such as scheduling meetings, preparing reports and meeting materials, furnishing information, responding to routine correspondence, assisting with technical support, processing expense reports, and answering telephone calls.
  • Coordinating and assisting with internal and external information and research gathering to support meetings and events.

Requirements

  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to juggle multiple competing tasks and demands.
  • Collaboration and facilitation skills to work with various departments and facilitate their ability to work with each other.
  • Exhibit high degree of initiative and critical-thinking skills in exercising independent judgment and making decisions in managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven, detail-oriented work environment.
  • Ability to work overtime as necessary.
  • Flexibility and commitment to work outside of business hours and on weekends required.
  • Continual attention to detail in composing, typing, and proofing materials, establishing priorities and meeting deadlines.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication and people skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders and clients.
  • High level of adaptability and flexibility.
  • High level of integrity and discretion in handling confidential information.
  • Self-starter with demonstrated instances of taking initiative.
  • Creative thinker who is resourceful and anticipatory of the needs of their assignments.
  • 2+ years of experience supporting partners in leadership roles. Experience working with litigation partners or teams preferred.

Nice to have

  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • 5+ years relevant experience required, preferably in a professional services environment
  • 2+ years of experience supporting partners in leadership roles.
  • Highly skilled in Microsoft Office Suite

Compensation

  • The annual compensation range for this position is $150,000 - $175,000.
  • The salary offered within this range will depend upon qualifications and other operational considerations.
