About the role

  • This position is responsible for supervising day-to-day direction of Maintenance personnel.
  • Incumbent in this position also represents the Maintenance Manager-Nuclear in their absence.
  • Acts as the responsibility centers' point of contact for the Corrective Action Program (CAP) issues and implementation.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain Operational Focus within the Maintenance Department
  • drive the station to excellence in performance
  • Maintain Operational Focus within the Maintenance Department; specifically, take action to ensure that maintenance is performed event-free; drive the station to excellence in performance; and monitor and evaluate work and employee performance to ensure compliance with the SSES operating license and to ensure that regulatory requirements are met.
  • The Assistant Maintenance Management position is responsible for the performance of quality maintenance as the focal point for work groups with the authority to support station priorities in accordance with regulatory requirements.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years management experience.
  • In this capacity, leads self-assessment activities within Maintenance and ensures timely and effective Action Required (AR) and Condition Report (CR) resolution.

Nice to have

  • Thorough knowledge of Susquehanna training and certification programs.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work well with individuals on all levels of the organization.
  • Knowledge of labor union / experience with labor contract implementation
