About the role
- In this role, you'll serve as a senior technical and operational leader responsible for coordinating activities supporting SSDS Mk 1 and Mk 2 Combat Systems across operational, engineering, integration, and test environments.
Responsibilities
- Support the planning, execution, and coordination of combat systems operations, integration, system testing, and evaluation activities.
- Lead technical coordination across government and contractor teams supporting Surface, Air, and Strike Warfare mission areas.
- Manage technical performance, reliability, maintainability, cost, schedule, and delivery requirements for assigned efforts.
- Support combat systems integration, troubleshooting, system readiness assessments, and operational capability improvements.
- PMAT is seeking an experienced SSDS Operations Coordinator to support the U.S. Navy's Ship Self Defense System (SSDS) program at the Surface Combat Systems Center (SCSC) in Wallops Island, Virginia.
- You'll work closely with Navy personnel, engineers, technicians, and program leadership to support combat systems readiness, tactical capability development, and the successful execution of mission-critical activities supporting the Fleet.
- This position offers the opportunity to directly support the continued evolution of one of the Navy's most advanced integrated combat systems while contributing to national defense and warfighter readiness.
Requirements
- In some cases, work in a government facility may be required.
- Travel may be required for customer engagement, team coordination, and potentially for business development.
- The ideal candidate combines deep operational knowledge of Navy Combat Systems with proven leadership experience managing technical performance, schedule, quality, and delivery.
