Files H-1B any time — no cap, no lottery. The 2026 weighted-selection rule doesn't touch it, which makes this the strongest structural path for entry-level talent. Pay is often lower, but your odds of staying are dramatically higher.

H-1B wage level

the lottery is wage-weighted — each level is one more entry

Level II · 2×
Level I$61,9011 entry

Level III$93,8703 entries
Level IV$109,8664 entries

$8,870 more — $93,870 — moves this role to Level III and 3 lottery entries. That figure is inside the range the employer already advertised.

Based on the DOL prevailing wage for this occupation and worksite, a base salary of $93,870 would place this position at wage Level III. That figure is within the posted range, and I'd like to target it. This role classifies under "Biological Scientists, All Other" for prevailing-wage purposes.

Files H-1B transfers

2 transfer filings in the last year, covering 2 workers. Median labor-condition decision: 8 days. An employer that already files transfers is one that can take over an existing H-1B.
