About the role
- Hand Solderer A Hand Solderer for Surface Mount Devices (SMD) is responsible for manually placing and soldering miniature electronic components onto Printed Circuit Boards (PCBs).
- This role demands exceptional hand-eye coordination, fine motor skills, and precision to work with microscopes, tweezers, and micro-soldering irons without damaging the delicate components.
- A strong candidate will be certified in J-STD-001 class III soldering.
Responsibilities
- May be responsible for final assembly or production build-up of complete units composed of complex sub-assemblies.
- May also perform some trouble shooting and rework of production items.
- Review and verify shop packet material received is complete and work with necessary support personnel to correct discrepancies.
Requirements
- Proficiency with both leaded and lead-free (RoHS) soldering processes.
