About the role

Ensure consistency of voice and positioning in all materials.
Draft press releases, media pitches, and briefing materials.
Assist in the preparation of executive communications including talking points, speeches, presentations, and thought leadership content.

Coordinate media outreach, manage press inquiries, and support relationships with journalists, analysts, and industry publications under the direction of the Communications & Marketing Director.
Create, edit, and manage a steady pipeline of high-quality content including press releases, blog posts, case studies, white papers, executive presentations, and social media content.
Support internal communication initiatives by drafting company-wide updates, leadership messages, and employee communications that reinforce transparency, engagement, and company culture.
Provide reporting and insights to support continuous improvement of communications efforts.

Ability to lawfully access information and technology that is subject to US export controls
Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Journalism, or related field.
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in corporate communications, PR, or content development, preferably in high-tech, manufacturing, aerospace, or defense-related industries.
Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, accessible messaging.
Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.

Direct experience in aerospace and defense sectors, with understanding of defense contractors and regulatory environment.
Familiarity with industry media outlets, analysts, and trade publications.
Experience supporting communications during periods of growth, transformation, or fundraising.
Proactive, hands-on mindset with a strong sense of ownership and follow-through.
Experience coordinating with external agencies, freelancers, or vendors.
In office presence in Torrance, CA.
Close collaboration with the Communications & Marketing Director and cross-functional teams including executive leadership, engineering, and business development.
