About the role
- Ensure consistency of voice and positioning in all materials.
- Draft press releases, media pitches, and briefing materials.
- Assist in the preparation of executive communications including talking points, speeches, presentations, and thought leadership content.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate media outreach, manage press inquiries, and support relationships with journalists, analysts, and industry publications under the direction of the Communications & Marketing Director.
- Create, edit, and manage a steady pipeline of high-quality content including press releases, blog posts, case studies, white papers, executive presentations, and social media content.
- Support internal communication initiatives by drafting company-wide updates, leadership messages, and employee communications that reinforce transparency, engagement, and company culture.
- Provide reporting and insights to support continuous improvement of communications efforts.
Requirements
- Ability to lawfully access information and technology that is subject to US export controls
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Journalism, or related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in corporate communications, PR, or content development, preferably in high-tech, manufacturing, aerospace, or defense-related industries.
- Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, accessible messaging.
- Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
Nice to have
- Direct experience in aerospace and defense sectors, with understanding of defense contractors and regulatory environment.
- Familiarity with industry media outlets, analysts, and trade publications.
- Experience supporting communications during periods of growth, transformation, or fundraising.
- Proactive, hands-on mindset with a strong sense of ownership and follow-through.
- Experience coordinating with external agencies, freelancers, or vendors.
- In office presence in Torrance, CA.
- Close collaboration with the Communications & Marketing Director and cross-functional teams including executive leadership, engineering, and business development.
- Fast-paced, execution-oriented environment focused on innovation, precision, and measurable impact.
