- You will assist in monitoring, documentation, troubleshooting, and supporting cross-functional requests alongside senior team members.
Responsibilities
- Production Support: Participate in a rotating on-call schedule to ensure 24/7 database availability and rapid response to production incidents across our global infrastructure.
- Development Support: Advance your T-SQL knowledge by participating in code reviews and assisting Developer and TechOps teams with query optimization and execution.
- Automation: Utilize Python, PowerShell, and other scripting languages to build or maintain automation tools (e.g., AWS Lambdas, GitHub Action workflows, etc.).
- Security & Compliance: Manage user permissions, SOPs, and disaster recovery runbooks while helping ensure regulatory framework compliance (including HIPAA, HITRUST, and SOC2) across all database systems.

Requirements
- must have hands-on exposure to a live, production-level environment.
- SQL Server: Practical experience with Microsoft SQL Server 2019 or newer.
- Scripting: Proficiency in T-SQL
- Core Concepts: Strong understanding of ACID, indexing, backup/restore strategies, and database security.
- Required Experience & Qualifications

Nice to have
- Experience or familiarity with automated cloud monitoring tools (Datadog, CloudWatch DMVs).
- Exposure to infrastructure automation tools (e.g., Terraform for RDS) or cloud-native database architectures.
- Experience or familiarity working within compliance-driven, regulated environments (HIPAA, HITRUST, SOC2).
- Soft Skills: A natural curiosity for staying current with SQL Server features and a calm, methodical approach to problem-solving under pressure.
