About the role

  • The University of Nevada, Reno is recruiting for a to be the Academic Advisor 2 with the University of Nevada, Reno College of Agriculture, Biotechnology & Natural Resources, CABNR.
  • This position is located on UNR Main Campus and reports to Elizabeth Sedano, Director, Academic Success.
  • Under direction of higher level advisors, advise incoming freshmen, new students, continuing students and transfer students on core courses and appropriate class selection for major and professional goals

Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain accurate student records including documenting each interaction
  • Develop advising materials and presentations
  • Participate in and support of College FIT Program
  • Provide support to the faculty for college specific internships
  • Collaborate with Marketing and Communication specialist
  • Mountain EAP supports employees (and eligible dependents) through life's difficult moments. Mountain EAP is located in Reno and specializes in counseling and advising services for personal or interpersonal issues.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree and two (2) years of related work experience OR Master's Degree and one (1) year of related work experience.
