Responsibilities
- Additionally, the Program Coordinator represents WATC in interactions with business and industry partners, campus departments, and secondary school personnel.
- Ability to write and speak clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations; read and interpret written information. Ability to edit work for accuracy and thoroughness, and to monitor own work to ensure quality.
- Ability to effectively manage a variety of tasks in an accurate and efficient manner
- The Program Coordinator supports student recruitment, registration, retention, career exploration, job placement, and student success initiatives while serving as a key liaison among students, high schools, the college, and the business community.
- The Program Coordinator serves as a student advocate, promoting student engagement and academic success through advising, enrollment support, and individualized assistance.

Requirements

- Must be able to work in a quality-focused service environment with excellent organizational skills, customer service and in a professional manner

- Required Education and/or Work Experience: Bachelor's degree and three years related work experience in a higher education or public school setting working with juniors and seniors. Experience in high school or secondary technical center would be a plus. Other job related education and/or experience may be substituted for part of these requirements.
- Preferred Education and/or Work Experience: Master's degree preferred.
- Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- (20%) Advise, register, and enroll area high school students in WATC programs
- (20%) Proactively address student academic alerts through campus systems and collaborate with parents, counselors, and instructors to resolve academic concerns and support student success
- (20%) Collaborate with faculty to address and resolve student issues when the Executive Director is unavailable
- (20%) Coordinate recruitment activities with all area high schools for the WATC program
- (10%) Assist in communication of program/student information to partner school districts, students, and parents/guardians
- (5%) Coordinate student login and ID dissemination
- (5%) Assist in coordination of industry certifications/exams for WATC students
Nice to have
- Experience in high school or secondary technical center would be a plus.
- Master's degree preferred.

- Ability to work in a technological environment demonstrating proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).

Compensation
- $48,000 - $52,000 commensurate with education and experience
