About the role

  • The Audio Technician provides show and rehearsal coverage and may also be scheduled for work calls as needed.
  • In addition to show responsibilities, the Audio Technician is responsible for maintaining and/or repairing all technical elements of the show under the direction of the Head of Audio, and/or the supervision of the Production Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain open communication with management and associated show staff about any show notes, technical problems, or concerns;
  • Support cross-training and workshops as needed;
  • Research and develop on an as needs basis;
  • Support systems for the maintenance, cleaning, and organization of workspaces;
  • Support gigs, trainings, rehearsals, and marketing events;

Requirements

  • To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

  • The ability to work effectively in a team environment is required;
  • Strong operational and programming knowledge of sound consoles and equipment for live entertainment;
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills, with the ability to handle technical issues swiftly during a live show;
  • At least 2 years of previous experience, or in a similar environment;
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft applications;
  • Bachelor's degree in Audio Production or a similar field
  • Ability to obtain OSHA 10 course completion card;
  • Ability to clearly and effectively communicate via headset;
