About the role

The Audio Technician provides show and rehearsal coverage and may also be scheduled for work calls as needed.
In addition to show responsibilities, the Audio Technician is responsible for maintaining and/or repairing all technical elements of the show under the direction of the Head of Audio, and/or the supervision of the Production Manager.

Responsibilities

Maintain open communication with management and associated show staff about any show notes, technical problems, or concerns;
Support cross-training and workshops as needed;
Research and develop on an as needs basis;
Support systems for the maintenance, cleaning, and organization of workspaces;
Support gigs, trainings, rehearsals, and marketing events;

Requirements

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
The ability to work effectively in a team environment is required;
Strong operational and programming knowledge of sound consoles and equipment for live entertainment;
Excellent troubleshooting skills, with the ability to handle technical issues swiftly during a live show;
At least 2 years of previous experience, or in a similar environment;
Working knowledge of Microsoft applications;
Bachelor's degree in Audio Production or a similar field
Ability to obtain OSHA 10 course completion card;
Ability to clearly and effectively communicate via headset;

Assist other departments when necessary for cross-departmental support

Skills

Effective oral and written communication skills are essential, as are interpersonal skills.
