About the role

  • The Radiologic Technologist Intern II is a graduate of an accredited radiologic technology program who is awaiting registry certification.
  • To provide the necessary data for radiologists to interpret images, the technologist scans all relevant clinical information into the PACS, assigns prioritization box for the radiologists' worklist, and then transmits current to the PACS.
  • Prepares and assists in administering contrast agents and determines any potential allergies to ensure compliance with departmental practices. (50%)

Requirements

  • These activities must be completed immediately following examination completion, not to exceed 1 hour.
  • Must have successfully completed an accredited ARRT program in Radiologic Technologies
  • American Heart Association or American Red Cross Required
  • BLS-Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) - AHA - American Heart Association or American Red Cross Required

Skills

  • Demonstrated knowledge in how to operate general radiographic/fluoroscopic equipment and related technology.
  • Demonstrated competency in the performance of general radiographic/fluoroscopy imaging studies.
  • Knowledge of how to address age-specific needs of patients.
  • Competency in interpreting physician order requests for general radiographic/fluoroscopic imaging studies.
  • Ability to exercise prudent judgment in selecting and configuring equipment settings to compensate for patient physiologic variances.
  • Ability to consistently procedure quality images of various anatomical structures.

Compensation

  • If you do not meet these requirements, the Radiography Technologist I pay range is from $27.67 - $33.90 and requires current ARRT certification and requires 0 years of experience.
