About the role

  • The Company has recently completed a merger creating a publicly listed operating company (NASDAQ "IMSR"), to secure the capital resources for our next growth phase.

Responsibilities

  • You will establish and maintain engineering standards, processes, and procedures that ensure compliance with nuclear industry codes and standards including ASME, CSA, and relevant regulatory requirements.
  • Your role will involve workforce planning, recruitment, and retention strategies to build organizational capability aligned with business objectives.
  • In the matrix organization structure, you will collaborate closely with project managers and other functional leaders to allocate resources effectively, balance workload across the Engineering Department, and resolve competing priorities.
  • You will be accountable for the performance management of your team, including conducting regular reviews, identifying skill gaps, and creating individual development plans that support both employee growth and organizational needs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or closely related engineering discipline from an accredited institution
  • Minimum 10 years of progressive engineering experience
  • Minimum 5 years in leadership or management capacity overseeing multidisciplinary technical teams
  • Proven track record managing resources across multiple concurrent projects
  • Strong knowledge of ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code
  • Familiarity with ASME B31.1 and B31.3 piping codes
  • Experience with engineering analysis tools and CAD systems
  • Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the US without the need for sponsorship for employment visa status.
