About the role
- Financial Analyst for Strategic Cost is responsible for supporting accurate and timely product cost analysis, accurate product costing for new and existing products, and supporting the annual standard cost roll.
Responsibilities
- Build and update product cost analytics models to help the business make appropriate decisions
- Support the delivery of total cost analytics processes to the business, including delivery costs
- Perform unit cost analysis for benchmarking performance and driving cost competitive initiatives
- Support cost analysis on business cases of all types (make vs. buy, resourcing, cash implications, etc.)
- Coordinate analyses, reporting, and forecasting support for capital investments
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- This role requires an understanding of cost accounting principles, manufacturing processes, and financial analysis to support strategic decision-making and operational efficiency.
- This role will report to and support the Manager of Strategic Cost and work cross functionally within the organization to ensure all projects use accurate product costing.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 to 4 years of strong related experience is required
- Demonstrated experience with financial analysis, standard and direct cost accounting.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of products, primarily Excel.
- Some travel, evening and weekend work may be required.
Nice to have
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance (strongly preferred) or equivalent experience.
- MBA or CPA license preferred.
Compensation
- $100,000 - $125,000
