About the role

This position will work for the Facilities Unit for University Housing.
This unit oversees the upkeep of 1.2 million square feet of residential and retail space.
The areas are comprised of Maintenance (which takes mechanical infrastructure, electronics, paint, and elevators) and Custodial which keeps our buildings clean and in tip top condition.

Assists trades, crafts, vendors, and technical staff with construction, design, and operational maintenance as needed
Utilizes specialized equipment to repair and maintain complex machinery, equipment, and facility property to prevent further damage and ensure optimal operation
Troubleshoots, escalates, and documents issues according to established policies and procedures
Performs routine and non-routine facility inspections and monitors cleanliness
The Facilities Technician III inspects, maintains, and repairs specialized equipment and facilities to ensure property meets established standards and to prevent further damage.
They assist with construction, design, and operational maintenance.

A minimum of 1 year of general maintenance experience

3 or more years of facility maintenance experience
Previous on-call experience
Previous experience in a 24/7/365 operation
Industrial, technical, or HVAC-related degrees or certifications
