About the role
- The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing scalable cloud infrastructure in Amazon Web Services (AWS) environments, ensuring optimal performance, security, reliability, and cost efficiency.
- The candidate must reside within the continental US.
Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and manage scalable, highly available, and disaster-resilient cloud infrastructure across AWS and Azure (EC2, S3, RDS, Azure VMs, Blob Storage, networking, and Kubernetes).
- Implement cloud security controls including IAM/access management, encryption, network segmentation, and compliance best practices.
- Monitor cloud environments, troubleshoot performance and availability issues, and implement alerting and operational improvements.
- Integrate infrastructure with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions) and support application deployments with minimal downtime.
- Deploy and manage containerized workloads using Docker and Kubernetes.
- Collaborate with development teams to translate application requirements into cloud-native solutions.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience is required.
- Experience with AWS and Azure core services: compute, storage, networking, databases, and security.
- Hands-on expertise with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or ARM templates.
- Proficiency in scripting/automation using Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes/container orchestration.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools and practices, including GitHub Actions.
- Strong understanding of cloud security, networking (subnetting, routing, load balancing, VPNs), and compliance principles.
- Ability to diagnose and resolve complex cloud infrastructure and deployment issues.
Nice to have
- Experience in SAFe/Agile Software Development.
- Prior government/federal experience Ability to obtain a government clearance.
