About the role
- Our Electrician will be primarily responsible for maintaining, repairing, testing, adjusting, and assisting in the installation and removal of all electrical, communication, control, and measurement equipment at assigned locations.
Responsibilities
- Understand how to read and translate the information found within building and process blueprints and one-line diagrams to install outlets, circuits, load centers and other forms of electrical equipment
- Perform preventive maintenance on electrical systems to include disassembly, cleaning, reassembly, and calibration.
- Ensure the shop is maintained in a safe and orderly fashion. Ensure the safety needs are given a top priority in operations support and work execution.
- Update the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) as necessary to maintain accurate plant asset historical records.
- Maintain close contact with assigned maintenance crew, the production supervisor and equipment production operator technicians.
- Maintain necessary records and files and distributes meaningful and accurate control reports.
- Ability to utilize computer hardware and software to manage, record, and evaluate company information.
Requirements
- Prefer an Associate's degree in electronics/electrical, instrumentation or a related technical field or its equivalent in experience.
- Prefer 3-5 years experience as an operations/maintenance technician, or previous experience in electronics.
- Knowledge of system operation, pipeline and facility layout, and equipment capability.
- Ability to follow manufacturers specifications and schematics.
- Ability to read and interpret a variety of technical data, such as schematics, one-line diagrams, and technical orders relating to the electrical trade.
- Comprehensive knowledge of the operation, capabilities, and limitations of complex electrical power and distribution.
- Knowledge of safety, environmental, and security regulations, practices, and procedures.
