About the role
- This position will assist the Manager of Risk Management with the following: Responsible for researching all environmental regulations and policies to ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations.
- Visits job sites and conducts safety audits on personnel and equipment.
- Oversight of Emergency Operation and Evacuation Plans.
Requirements
- High school diploma required.
- Self-motivated, detail oriented, and able to work with a high degree of confidentiality.
- Ability to travel between offices on occasion.
- Ability to write reports and business correspondence.
- assemble/distribute to personnel as required
- Strong Microsoft Word and Excel skills.
- Excellent Organizational, written and verbal communication skills.
- Able to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures and government regulations.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general publik.
- Open to current employees of SPEC only.

Nice to have
- Experience in regulatory compliance, insurance or member service preferred.
