About the role
- The Patient Care Assistant (PCA) plays a vital role in delivering high‑quality, patient‑facing services throughout each patient visit.
- PCAs work both at the front desk/lobby and within the health center, ensuring compassionate, professional, and efficient care at every touchpoint.
- This role requires attention to detail, strong judgment, effective communication, and a commitment to patient confidentiality and dignity.
Responsibilities
- PCAs serve as a welcoming first point of contact for patients and provide essential clinical and administrative support under the supervision and delegation of licensed clinical staff.
- Process refill requests and contraceptive supply sales; manage cash handling.
- Support team members and assist with resolving patient concerns.
Requirements
- Comfort working with diverse patient populations.
- Proficiency with computers, including Microsoft Office.
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs and remain active throughout most of the shift.
- medical assistant training preferred.
- Customer service or healthcare experience strongly preferred.

- Your Day to Day:
- Greet and assist patients as the first point of contact.
- Check patients in/out, schedule appointments, verify insurance, and assist walk‑ins.
