About the role
- Ensures procurement strategy aligns with company strategy.
- Minimizes the company's risk exposure to finance, audit and legal issues.
Responsibilities
- Manages the activities and staff involved in purchasing and procurement of goods and supplies, equipment, services, systems, software or technical equipment for internal company use.
- Develops, documents, implements and coordinates procurement activities company-wide to maximize scale efficiencies and deliver industry-leading effectiveness. Ensures procurement strategy aligns with company strategy.
- Develops and negotiates contracts, and implements and monitors procurement processes to ensure efficient execution and best in class acquisitions. Minimizes the company's risk exposure to finance, audit and legal issues.
- Manages a team including providing oversight and direction for financial and operational activities.
- Manages experienced, professional employees and/or supervisors; and/or manages large, complex technical and/or business support teams. Accountable for the performance and results of a team and/or department.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience from which comparable knowledge and job skills can be obtained.
Nice to have
- Ensures compliance to formal sourcing/procurement policies and preferred supplier agreements.
- Directs, reviews, and approves all major sourcing decisions.
