About the role
- Plan, direct, or coordinate activities for electronic data processing, information systems, systems analysis, and computer programming.
- Serves as a technical expert in the area of system administration for complex operating systems.
- Recommends the redesign and configuration of operating systems and system applications.
Requirements
- Experience administering Windows Server, Linux, or UNIX systems.
- Experience supporting networked computer systems and enterprise environments.
- A fast paced multi-tasking customer service oriented environment requiring a high degree of efficient and effective performance.
- Overtime may be required.
Nice to have
- Experience supporting test range instrumentation or engineering systems
- Requires a Secret security clearance.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or related field
- Associate's degree in related field and two (2) additional years of relevant experience
- Technical certification and four (4) additional years of relevant experience
- Eight (8) years of relevant system administration experience in lieu of degree
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in system administration or IT infrastructure support.

- Ability to apply system security configurations and updates.
- Ability to maintain system documentation and records.
- Ability to manage user accounts and access controls.

- Preferred Knowledge and Certifications:
- CompTIA Security+, Network+, or equivalent certifications
- Microsoft, Linux, or VMware certifications
- DoD cybersecurity requirements including RMF and STIG compliance
