Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of bagging equipment and forklifts.
  • Conduct daily inspections of the forklift, including checking fluid levels, tire pressure, and overall condition, and perform basic maintenance tasks.
  • Maintain accurate records of materials handled, products packaged, and inventory levels.
  • Utilize barcode scanning systems to track and manage inventory movement, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in material handling and storage.
  • Perform regular cycle counts of bagged products to reconcile inventory and ensure accuracy.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.

Requirements

  • Participate in training and safety meetings as required.
  • Ability to operate bagging equipment and perform packaging tasks.
  • Ability to perform pre-shift equipment checks and basic maintenance.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong work ethic and commitment to accuracy and timeliness.
  • Ability to perform basic math calculations and use measuring equipment.

Skills

  • Ability to become certified in forklift operation.
  • Ability to operate equipment safely and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent hand-eye coordination, depth perception, and spatial awareness.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
  • Knowledge of safety procedures and regulations related to forklift operation and material handling.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in weighing, labeling, and packaging products.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with production teams and supervisors.
  • Ability to follow instructions in English, both written and verbal.
  • Basic computer proficiency for record-keeping and data entry.
  • Ability to acquire and retain all necessary safety certifications.

Compensation

  • $20k-$28k
