About the role
- The RN in the outpatient clinic provides professional nursing care to patients within a clinic or physician practice setting.
- include assisting physicians during treatments and examinations, administering medications as per physician orders, and performing other therapeutic measures either independently or under physician guidance.
- The RN observes, records, and reports symptoms, reactions, and patient progress, while also providing patient education on illness management, disease prevention, and health promotion.
Responsibilities
- Deliver professional nursing care in compliance with physician directives and established clinic protocols.
- Administer medications and perform therapeutic interventions as ordered by physicians or within nursing scope of practice.
- Perform diagnostic tests such as blood draws, EKGs, or wound cultures and prepare specimens for laboratory analysis.
- Strong clinical nursing skills with the ability to perform independent nursing functions.
Requirements
- Posture: Ability to sit or stand for prolonged periods during patient care and documentation.
- Associate or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (ASN or BSN) required.
- Current RN license in the state of Missouri or ability to obtain.
- Ability to sit or stand for prolonged periods during patient care and documentation.
- State licensure is required.
Nice to have
- Minimum of 1 year of clinical nursing experience preferred.
- Experience in outpatient or clinic settings is advantageous.
