Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited university with (8) eight years of experience in coding and CDI in a private, public, government or military environment
- High School Diploma/GED AND twelve (12) years of experience in coding and CDI in a private, public, government or military environment
- In addition to the above requirements, the following are also required:
- Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).
Nice to have
- AHIMA (RAC) and/or AAPC (CRC) risk adjustment certification
- Seven (7) or more years of advanced outpatient CDI, HIM, coding, or revenue cycle consulting experience in mid-to-large acute care, ambulatory, or physician practice settings
- Working knowledge of risk-adjusted methodologies, including CRG, CMS-HCC and HHS-HCC, and quality of care measures such as OQR, QIP, and P4P
- The expected compensation range for this position is $125,600 - $172,700, which includes base pay plus variable incentive pay, if eligible.
Compensation
- Ability to independently interpret Federal Register updates, CMS guidance, ICD-10-CM and CPT coding guidelines, NCCI edits, LCD/NCD guidance, and annual coding updates, and synthesize changes into accurate CDI, coding, and customer-facing
