About the role

  • Position is eligible for 403(b) retirement plan and agency paid time off benefits including vacation time, sick time, personal days, and 13 paid holidays plus additional holiday pay for Agency closure Christmas through New Year's.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and expand a resource database in collaboration with other programs to identify statewide resources and contacts.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

  • Must have knowledge about social services i n Portland Metropolitan Tri-County area.
  • Ability to communicate concisely and effectively, both verbally and in writing in English required.
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Background and MVR Screening: Satisfactory results from pre-employment criminal and civil background screening required.
  • Motor vehicle records (MVR) review required as needed.
  • Satisfactory results from pre-employment criminal and civil background screening required.

Nice to have

  • Experience Requirements/Preferences 2 years of experience providing information and referrals and advocacy and/or case management preferred.
  • Ability to communicate concisely and effectively both verbally and in writing in Spanish preferred.

  • Compensation is commensurate with skills and experience.

  • Who You Are: Resource Specialist will provide information and referral services for clients and community members to community service providers and partners within the Portland Metropolitan Tri-County area.
  • Resource Specialist will also assist the Quality Assurance Manager with assessing client and community satisfaction with existing services as well as identifying unmet service needs.
