About the role

Responsibilities
- Serve as Lead Surveyor on assigned survey crews for boundary, route, topographic, construction staking, construction verification, and horizontal/vertical control surveys.
- Prepare data for CAD handoff or perform CAD drafting tasks to produce survey drawings and plats.
- Organize and maintain complete project files (electronic and hardcopy).
- Perform office-based work involving computer use, document review, and coordination with project teams.
- Lead or contribute to pre-survey planning discussions to scope and strategize survey projects.
- Build and maintain professional working relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Lochmueller Group is seeking a Licensed Professional Surveyor (PS) to lead and support survey operations on small to mid-sized projects of limited to moderate complexity throughout the state of Indiana.
- We provide multi-disciplined services for a variety of public agencies and private entities, including transportation design; water resources design; environmental analysis & permitting; construction engineering & inspection; traffic engineering & transportation planning; surveying; and land acquisition & appraisal.
- Our Roadway/Highway Design team is involved in a wide variety of street, roadway, highway and multi-modal transportation design projects for local public agencies and state DOT's.

Requirements
- Attend meetings with clients and public officials as required.
Nice to have
- Licensed Professional Surveyor (PS)
- Relevant field experience with a strong foundation in boundary, topographic, and construction surveying.
- GPS survey methods and data processing
- Survey equipment (total stations, GPS receivers, levels)
- CAD software such as AutoCAD Civil 3D and/or MicroStation
- Working knowledge of:
- Coordinate geometry
- Survey measurement adjustment software

- $50k-$75k
