About the role
- IDEXX Laboratories is seeking a Product Manager III, Software to join our R&D organization, focused on instrument-connected software solutions.
- This position is ideal for someone who thrives in an agile environment, enjoys working closely with development teams, and can translate complex business and user needs into clear, actionable product direction.
- You will operate in a fast-moving, collaborative environment where priorities evolve and strong product judgment is essential.
Responsibilities
- Own and manage the product backlog, ensuring work is clearly defined, prioritized, and aligned to business value
- Partner with Product Management leadership to contribute to and execute against the product roadmap
- Work closely with software development teams in an agile environment to drive execution and delivery
- Collaborate cross-functionally with stakeholders across R&D, engineering, and the business to align on priorities and outcomes
- Support release planning and execution, ensuring alignment on scope, timelines, and expectations
- This role sits at the intersection of product, software development, and instrument technology, and plays a critical role in delivering high-impact solutions that directly support customer workflows and diagnostic outcomes.
- As a Product Manager III supporting instrument software, you will take ownership of key product areas and help drive delivery across active development initiatives.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complexity, ambiguity, and evolving priorities
Requirements
- 4-6+ years of experience in product management, product ownership, or closely related roles
- Proven experience working with software development teams in an agile environment
- Experience contributing to or owning product roadmaps and aligning work to strategic goals
- Ability to operate effectively in a matrixed organization, working across multiple stakeholders and teams
- Strong communication skills with the ability to translate between technical and business audiences
