About the role

Responsibilities
- Lead program planning, evaluation, continuous improvement, and corrective action based on student and program data.
- Develop, review, update curriculum, syllabi, instructional plans, skills checklists, and evaluation tools.
- Recruit, orient, supervise, evaluate, and support faculty, clinical instructors, and program staff
- Develop and maintain clinical sites, affiliation agreements, preceptor partnerships, advisory boards, and workforce partnerships.
- lead site visit readiness, grant report submission, and compliance efforts.
- Collaborate with leadership on program budgeting, forecasting, and allocation of instructional resources.
- Teach or provide classroom, skills lab, simulation, or clinical supervision support as needed.
Requirements
- Completion of approved coursework in administration, teaching, and curriculum development required.
- Current, active California Registered Nurse license required.
- Must have a car, a valid California driver's license, and proof of minimum levels of car insurance as required under California law, although limits of $100,000 are recommended.
- An acceptable driving record is also required.
- Occasional evening or weekend availability may be required based on program, clinical, regulatory, or student support needs.
- Minimum three years of RN experience required.
- At least one year of teaching or clinical supervision experience in a state-approved nursing, vocational or practical nursing, or psychiatric technician program within the last five years
- Knowledge of MA scope, competencies, externship requirements, certification preparation, and ambulatory care operations.
Nice to have
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred.
- Baccalaureate degree from an approved school required
- Experience with regulatory visits, program approvals, audits, corrective action plans, compliance reporting, clinical placements, advisory boards, and employer partnerships preferred.
