Responsibilities
- Schedule Tracking: Monitor supplier milestones and delivery dates to maintain program timelines.
- Risk Assessment: Identify potential delays in the supply chain and manage and report impacts to program leadership.
- CFD Research has earned multiple national awards for successful application and commercialization of innovative component/system technology prototypes, multi-physics simulation software, multi-disciplinary analyses, and expert support services.
- This role requires a technical background to facilitate communication between internal engineering teams and external partners.
- Monitor supplier milestones and delivery dates to maintain program timelines.
- Identify potential delays in the supply chain and manage and report impacts to program leadership.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience combining a technical background with supplier or program management.
Nice to have
- Experience with government contracting and FAR/DFARS regulations.
- Familiarity with aerospace and defense industry standards
- Bachelor's degree in a STEM field or equivalent professional experience.
- Understanding of manufacturing processes and fabrication workflows.
- Proficiency in managing project schedules, budgets, and professional communications.
- This position requires 20-30% travel for site visits, supplier audits, and business reviews with surge support up to 50% as required.
