About the role

  • Supported by an externally funded grant, this role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the development of transformative technologies.
  • In addition, the Postdoctoral Research Associate will contribute to the preparation of quarterly progress reports, actively engage in discussions with project sponsors, and play a visible role in communicating research outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Design, plan, and execute independent research experiments in consultation with Prof. Barecka; complete research independently and communicate progress in regular meetings.
  • Generate and analyze experimental data in support of the project's scientific and technological goals.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of electrochemistry fundamentals
  • Proficiency in performing electrochemical tests
  • Knowledge of analytical chemistry tools such as Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR), Gas Chromatography (GC), High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC), and Mass Spectrometry (MS)
  • Proficiency in academic writing, time management, and communication
  • Experience operating electrochemical flow reactors, preferably for CO2 reduction
  • candidates with proficiency in reactor modeling will also be considered in lieu of this experience

Compensation

  • $60,315.00 - $85,192.50
  • With the pay range(s) shown above, the starting salary will depend on several factors, which may include your education, experience, location, knowledge and expertise, and skills as well as a pay comparison to similarly-situated employees already in the role.
  • Salary ranges are reviewed regularly and are subject to change.
