About the role
- This position ensures all work is performed to project specifications, within safety guidelines, and in accordance with company standards.
Responsibilities
- Inspect, clean, and perform basic maintenance on equipment before and after operation.
- Maintain accurate daily logs of work performed and equipment hours.
- The Heavy Equipment Operator is responsible for safely and efficiently operating a variety of heavy construction equipment-including excavators, bulldozers, loaders, graders, and backhoes-to support site development, earthmoving, trenching, grading, and material handling.
Requirements
- Ability to sit, stand, and operate machinery for extended periods.

Nice to have
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Minimum of 2-3 years' experience operating heavy construction equipment.
- Valid driver's license
- CDL preferred (depending on project needs).
- Proven knowledge of heavy machinery operation, job site safety, and preventive maintenance.
- Ability to read grade stakes, blueprints, and elevation levels.
- Strong attention to detail and situational awareness.
- Certification or training from a recognized heavy equipment operator program.
