About the role
- The Solutions Engineer (SE) is a customer-facing role that combines strong construction scheduling knowledge with strong communication and technical aptitude.
- As a Solutions Engineer, you will work closely with Sales to help prospective customers understand how Planera fits into their existing scheduling and planning workflows.
- This role does not require prior software sales experience.
Responsibilities
- Partner with Sales to support qualified opportunities from discovery through close. You'll lead technical conversations, deliver workflow-driven product demos, and help prospects connect their existing scheduling practices to Planera.
- Deliver tailored demos to project managers, superintendents, schedulers, and operations leaders, adjusting for project type, audience role, and scheduling maturity.
- Lead follow-up technical conversations and deeper dives as needed throughout the sales cycle

Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience in commercial or heavy civil construction
- Ability to engage effectively with construction professionals at all levels.
- However, it does require strong construction and scheduling experience, comfort with modern software tools, and the ability to communicate effectively with construction professionals at all levels of an organization.
