About the role

The Oregon State Hospital (OSH), a division of the Oregon Health Authority, is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Primary Care Physician to join our multidisciplinary team.
This position provides non-psychiatric medical evaluation and treatment for adults with severe mental illness in an inpatient forensic psychiatric setting.
This position serves as a medical consultant to the interdisciplinary treatment team, addressing acute and chronic medical conditions, supporting coordinated care, and contributing to integrated, whole-person treatment planning.

This position works in collaboration with psychiatric attending providers, who maintain primary responsibility for the overall plan of care.

The following qualifications must be visible in your application to be considered:
Experience working effectively in a high-acuity, unpredictable environment, while remaining calm and organized, and creating clarity and continuity of care.
Experience providing general medicine phone consultations to physicians and staff.
Experience representing a clinical role in public-facing and organizational settings, including participation on committees, workgroups, or cross-functional initiatives within a public or institutional environment.
