About the role
- We have a suite of checkout surfaces that range from no- and low-code checkout pages to embedded payment forms and highly customized checkout flows.
Responsibilities
- As a Staff Designer on Checkout, you'll lead the visual and interaction design direction for our most opinionated and optimized checkout surfaces.
- You'll define how checkouts should flex to support emerging business models and underserved verticals, taking complex merchant needs and translating them to simple, conversion-optimized solutions.
- You'll also contribute to and evolve the backing design system for our checkout surfaces.
- Define the design direction for new features and checkout surfaces across the conversion funnel
- Lead design explorations from initial concept through launch
- Evolve and push boundaries on visual language, component patterns, and design systems
- Shape early product strategy through design exploration and rapid prototyping, making abstract opportunities tangible for product and engineering partners
- Deep fluency in visual design, interaction design, systems thinking, and prototyping with AI tools
- Experience leading complex work in close partnership with product management engineering, and design leadership

- 8+ years of relevant experience at a tech, product-driven company
