About the role
- The Tufting Machine Operator I is responsible for operating and monitoring tufting machinery to produce high-quality artificial turf products in a safe and efficient manner.
- This position is for day shift Monday through Thursday from 7a-7p.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning and maintenance on tufting equipment to support efficient production and reduce downtime.
- Maintain adequate fiber and backing material supply at the machine to ensure continuous operation.
- Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and industry regulations to maintain a safe work environment.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area in accordance with housekeeping standards.
Requirements
- Ability to read and interpret production specifications and measurements.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during the shift.
- Ability to lift and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds as needed.
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to moving machinery, noise, dust, and varying temperatures.
Nice to have
- Previous manufacturing, textile, carpet, or tufting experience preferred.
