Responsibilities
- Lead technical execution of environmental site investigations and remediation projects.
- Apply geologic expertise to develop practical, technically sound solutions for complex environmental challenges.
- Support Project Managers with project planning, budgeting, scheduling, forecasting, invoicing, and overall project execution.
- Support proposal preparation, cost estimating, and business development activities.
- AECOM is actively seeking an experienced Lead Project Geologist / Assistant Project Manager for immediate employment in our Oakland, California office.
- In this role, you will serve as both a technical lead and project management partner, supporting environmental investigation and remediation projects from planning through execution.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Geology, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Experience with site investigations, remedial investigations, and environmental compliance.
- Ability to travel occasionally, including overnight travel when required.
Nice to have
- Experience preparing proposals, scopes of work, cost estimates, schedules, and change orders.
- Familiarity with project financial management, invoicing, forecasting, and resource planning.
- Experience leading multidisciplinary teams on environmental consulting projects.
- Experience executing Site Investigations, Remedial Investigations, Feasibility Studies, and Risk Assessments for federal, industrial, or commercial environmental projects.
