About the role
- This position serves as a liaison between the doctor, clients, and the medical team while helping coordinate the daily workflow of a fast-paced Emergency department.
- The ideal candidate is organized, compassionate, detail-oriented, and able to remain calm under pressure while working in a dynamic veterinary specialty environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct support to Emergency veterinarians throughout appointments, treatments, and patient admissions
- Support patient admissions, transfers, and discharges
- Help maintain organized and efficient scheduling of rechecks, diagnostics, and consultations
- Provide compassionate support to clients during emergency and critical care situations
- Maintain professionalism and confidentiality in all client and patient interactions
- Collaborate closely with Emergency, ICU, Surgery, and Specialty teams to ensure seamless patient care
Requirements
- Previous experience working in an Emergency required
- Ability to remain calm and compassionate during high-stress and emotional situations
Compensation
- $25.00 - $33.00 per hour, based on experience
- Schedule: Four 10-hour shifts, rotating schedule to include weekends
